‘Ahsoka’ Secures Second Season on Disney+: All the Details You Need

Disney+ has officially announced that a second season of the live-action series “Ahsoka” is in development. The news came as part of a larger announcement about “The Mandalorian” heading to the big screen. The series, which stars Rosario Dawson, debuted in August and has been a success, ranking at No. 2 on Nielsen’s U.S. ranking of streaming originals.

“Ahsoka” is set after the events of the animated series “Star Wars Rebels.” The show follows the small rebel cell known as the Ghost Crew as they help liberate the Outer Rim planet Lothal from Imperial control. In the series finale, Jedi Ezra Bridger and the villainous Grand Admiral Thrawn disappeared into deep space and had been missing for years. Both characters resurfaced in Episode 6 of “Ahsoka.”

The first season of “Ahsoka” featured several cameos and nods to previous Star Wars projects, including Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. Additionally, Anthony Daniels made a brief appearance and there were several mentions of Senator Leia Organa.

With the news of a second season in development, fans of the Star Wars universe can look forward to more adventures with Ahsoka and the continuation of her story. Disney+ continues to expand its offering of original content, captivating audiences with its popular series.
