SEATTLE – After three successful seasons leading the Arizona football program, Jedd Fisch is set to take on a new challenge as the head coach at the University of Washington. Fisch’s departure leaves Arizona in need of a replacement as they prepare for their move to the Big 12 conference.
One name that stands out as a potential replacement is San Jose State coach Brent Brennan. The 50-year-old, who previously served as a graduate assistant at Arizona, has done an impressive job at San Jose State, leading the Spartans to a 7-1 record and a No. 24 ranking last season. Despite the challenges posed by the transfer portal, Brennan has managed to stabilize the program and earn the respect of his peers.
Another candidate worth considering is Washington State coach Jake Dickert. Brennan Marion, the offensive coordinator at UNLV and a former college teammate of Kinne’s, is another up-and-coming coach to consider. Marion’s innovative Go-Go offense has had a significant impact on UNLV’s scoring, despite losing their starting quarterback to injury. His ability to adapt and find success with young talent makes Marion a promising candidate.
Lastly, Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein has also emerged as a potential name to watch. Stein, a former Louisville quarterback and Texas high school coach, quickly rose through the ranks, going from UTSA offensive coordinator to a successful debut season at Oregon. His high-powered offense ranked second in the nation in yards per play.
