Background Extra Alleges Mia Goth Purposefully Kicked Him in the Head on Set of MaXXXine Film, Leading to Lawsuit

Los Angeles, CA – Actress Mia Goth is facing a lawsuit from a background extra who claims she intentionally kicked him in the head during the filming of her upcoming movie, “MaXXXine.” James Hunter alleges that he suffered a concussion as a result of Goth’s actions and was subsequently dismissed from the film. The incident occurred on the set of the A24 horror sequel, which is the third installment in a trilogy directed by Ti West and featuring Goth.

According to court documents, Hunter was hired to play the role of a “Dead Parishioner” for three days. The scene required him to be covered in fake blood and lay on the ground without a prop pad. Goth was supposed to step over him and then run. However, Hunter claims that during one take, Goth nearly stepped on him, and when he complained to the second assistant director, she deliberately kicked him in the head with her boot.

After the scene, Hunter alleges that Goth entered the bathroom where he was and taunted and mocked him. Removing his blood-crusted robe caused him pain. On the drive home, Hunter had to pull over twice due to feeling light-headed. The next day, the casting agency informed him that he was not needed for the remainder of his scheduled shoot days.

The lawsuit names Goth and the production company A24, as well as Ti West, and accuses Goth of battery, as well as wrongful termination by A24, Goth, and West. Hunter is seeking damages for the physical and emotional distress he claims to have experienced as a result of the incident.

Goth is known for her roles in films such as “X” and “Pearl.” The full complaint can be read online.
