Britney Spears Fires Back at Justin Timberlake Over Memoir Apology

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Pop star Britney Spears appears to have taken a shot at her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake after publicly apologizing for revelations made about him in her autobiography. The 42-year-old singer initially shared an apology on Instagram, expressing remorse if she had “offended any of the people I genuinely care about” in her memoir, The Woman In Me.

In her book, published in October, Spears disclosed that she had an abortion while dating Timberlake, a former NSYNC star. Alongside her apology, she posted a clip of Timberlake performing on Saturday Night Live and expressed admiration for his new song. However, Spears subsequently deleted the apology and related posts after Timberlake seemingly responded during a concert.

During a performance at the Irving Plaza, Timberlake was recorded saying, “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f****** nobody.” Following the deletion of her apology, Spears appeared to counter Timberlake’s remarks in another message, which read, “Someone told me someone was talking s*** about me on the streets!!! Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time??? I’m not sorry!!!”

Spears and Timberlake began dating in 1999 when she was 17 years old and they met on the Mickey Mouse Club. The couple ended their relationship in 2002.

The exchange between Spears and Timberlake has sparked backlash on social media, with many of Spears’ fans trying to make the hashtag “#canceljustintimberlake” go viral.

In her memoir, Spears described her unplanned pregnancy as a “surprise” and revealed that Timberlake was not happy about it. She expressed the difficulty of the abortion, calling it “one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life.”

The public feud between Spears and Timberlake highlights the ongoing fascination with celebrity relationships and the impact of personal disclosures in their memoirs. As fans and critics continue to weigh in on the controversy, the two artists find themselves at the center of a media storm.
