Charlie Sheen’s Sons Grateful for his Present and Responsible Role Amid Mom’s Addiction Battle

Los Angeles – Charlie Sheen, the actor known for his role in “Two and a Half Men,” recently opened up about his sons’ appreciation for the way he is handling their mother’s addiction battle. Sheen shares 14-year-old twin boys, Max and Bob, with his ex-wife Brooke Mueller. In an interview with People, Sheen revealed that his sons are “grateful” to have a present, responsible, and focused father as their mother tries to overcome her addiction struggles.

Sheen emphasized that he supports Mueller and understands the challenges she faces. He mentioned that his sons are aware of their mother’s difficulties and are proud of him for remaining supportive. The actor also acknowledged the importance of being punctual and accountable for his children.

The former couple recently revisited their child custody agreement, which is contingent upon Mueller’s sobriety. According to documents obtained by Page Six, Sheen will be granted emergency “sole legal custody” of their teenagers if Mueller tests positive for drugs or alcohol. Mueller will be subject to regular testing for drugs and alcohol, and any positive test or missed test will result in the termination of her custody rights.

Mueller had previously signed the custody modification agreement in August 2023, but later relapsed and engaged in substance abuse. The new filing allows Sheen to request immediate custody changes without a response from Mueller.

In December 2023, Page Six reported that Mueller had enrolled in a 12-step program to help her get clean. Sheen celebrated six years of sobriety this month and explained his new daily routine in an interview with People. He referred to himself as a single dad who wakes up early to work before helping his sons get ready for school.

Sheen and Mueller got married in 2008 and filed for divorce in 2010. Sheen was previously married to Denise Richards, with whom he has two daughters, Sami and Lola. He also shares a daughter, Cassandra, with his high school girlfriend Paula Profit.

The actor’s openness about his commitment to his sons during their mother’s struggles sheds light on the complexities of addiction and co-parenting. Sheen’s dedication to being a present and responsible father serves as an inspiration for others going through similar situations.
