Brooklyn, New York – Co-hosts of the daytime talk show “The View” expressed their disdain for Madonna’s habitual lateness in a recent episode. The discussion was prompted by a lawsuit filed by two disgruntled concertgoers who were dissatisfied with the singer’s delayed performance at her Dec. 13 “Celebration Tour” concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Joy Behar, one of the panelists, led the conversation by stating that she wouldn’t wait two hours for a concert by anyone, not even George Clooney. Sunny Hostin, on the other hand, defended Madonna’s tardiness, deeming it to be part of her “allure.” Hostin compared attending Madonna’s concert to being a tourist in Times Square on New Year’s Eve, suggesting that concertgoers should expect a delayed start time and adjust their plans accordingly.
Alyssa Farah Griffin shared a personal anecdote, describing Madonna’s concert as the best live show she had ever attended. However, she also added that it was disrespectful to the audience who had paid a substantial amount of money to be there when the artist was consistently late.
Sara Haines, another co-host, outright rejected the excuses made for Madonna’s tardiness, stating that being two hours late is disrespectful to fans who have paid to watch the performance. Haines argued that other performers like BeyoncĂ©, Taylor Swift, and Pink are always on time, exemplifying respect for their audience.
Madonna, Live Nation, and the Barclays Center have not yet responded to the mentioned lawsuit. It is noteworthy that Madonna previously addressed a lawsuit over her lateness in 2019, proclaiming to her concert crowd, “A queen is never late.”
The co-hosts of “The View” made strong statements regarding Madonna’s repeated tardiness, expressing their frustration and disappointment with her lack of regard for her fans’ time. The conversation showcased differing opinions on the matter, highlighting the varied perspectives on the issue of punctuality in the entertainment industry.
