LOS ANGELES – The highly-anticipated sequel to the 2021 film “Dune” has released a new poster, exclusively revealed by IGN. The poster showcases the star-studded cast engaged in an epic battle against a colossal sandworm on the sandy terrains of Arrakis. Directed once again by Denis Villeneuve, the film continues the story of Paul Atreides, portrayed by Timothée Chalamet, on his quest for revenge while trying to prevent a catastrophic future.
Reprising their roles from the previous film are Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem. The sequel also introduces new additions such as Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux, and Souheila Yacoub. The returning team behind the camera includes director of photography Greig Fraser, production designer Patrice Vermette, editor Joe Walker, visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert, costume designer Jacqueline West, and composer Hans Zimmer.
Based on Frank Herbert’s classic novel, the film adaptation of “Dune: Part Two” is a joint undertaking by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Denis Villeneuve, Tanya Lapointe, and Patrick McCormick serve as producers, while Joshua Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, and Kevin J. Anderson hold executive producer credits.
The highly anticipated sequel is set to release on March 1, 2024, in theaters and IMAX both domestically and internationally, with the international release starting on February 28, 2024.
