Hamas Command Structure in Northern Gaza Completely Dismantled by Israeli Army

GAZA CITY, GAZA STRIP – The Israeli army has declared that it has successfully dismantled Hamas’s command structure in the northern Gaza Strip. According to army spokesman Daniel Hagari, Palestinian militants are now operating without commanders and their presence in the area is sporadic. The exact number of militants killed by Israel in north Gaza remains unverified.

The focus of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has now shifted to dismantling Hamas in south and central Gaza. The ongoing conflict has resulted in more than 22,000 deaths, as reported by the Hamas-run health ministry. The situation has left much of the Gaza territory in ruins and displaced the majority of its population of 2.3 million.

The offensive by Israel began after a surprise attack by Hamas gunmen on southern Israel, which resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and the hostage-taking of approximately 240 individuals. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated Israel’s commitment to eliminating Hamas, securing the release of hostages, and ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel.

Meanwhile, during an Israeli raid in the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, six Palestinians were killed. The Palestinian health ministry reported a significant deployment of Israeli forces during the raid. Additionally, an Israeli airstrike targeted a gathering in the West Bank following an attack by an explosive device, resulting in the death of one officer.

The conflict in Gaza has drawn international attention, prompting U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to express his determination to prevent the spread of violence and avoid an endless cycle of conflict. He is currently on a week-long trip to the region, which includes meetings with officials from Greece, Jordan, and Qatar.

In summary, the Israeli army claims to have dismantled Hamas’s command structure in northern Gaza, while shifting their focus to southern and central Gaza. The conflict has resulted in thousands of deaths, extensive destruction of Gaza, and the displacement of its population. The international community, including U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, is working to prevent further escalation and find a resolution to the ongoing crisis.
