Israeli Strikes on Nuseirat Refugee Camp in Gaza Leave Arab-Israeli Legislator’s Relatives, Including 10-Year-Old Boy, Dead

GAZA CITY, GAZA STRIP – An Israeli airstrike in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza has reportedly resulted in the deaths of three of Arab-Israeli legislator Ahmad Tibi’s relatives, including a 10-year-old boy. Tibi took to social media to express his grief over the tragic incident.

Meanwhile, a video released by Hamas showed three Israeli hostages held in Gaza urging Israel’s government to cease their offensive against the militant group and secure their release. The captives, aged 26, 53, and 38, appeared in the undated 37-second video, with its conclusion hinting at the announcement of their fate in the near future.

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah delivered a televised address, claiming that Israel had “failed” in Gaza and would be compelled to engage in negotiations. His remarks follow the 100th day of the ongoing conflict between both sides.

Further international fallout has resulted from Bangladesh voicing its support for South Africa in its genocide case against Israel at the international court of justice. Bangladesh’s ministry of foreign affairs stated that they welcomed the opportunity to intervene in the proceedings and disagree with Germany’s alleged support of what they term as the “genocidal intent of the racist Israeli state against innocent civilians in Gaza.” In response, Namibia rejected Germany’s support, referencing the country’s history and the Herero-Namaqua genocide that took place on Namibian soil during the early 20th century.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has labeled the humanitarian crisis in Gaza caused by Israeli attacks as one of the world’s most complex and challenging operations. The ongoing conflict has displaced nearly 2 million Palestinians, with the UNRWA expressing concern about the extensive destruction, displacement, hunger, and loss experienced over the past 100 days.

Furthermore, representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) and its partners visited al-Aqsa hospital and Nasser medical complex in Gaza. The WHO chief emphasized the need for sustained support and protection to ensure the continued operation of these vital healthcare facilities, which serve patients and thousands of displaced individuals in Gaza.

In response to the displacement of Palestinian families, the Palestine Red Crescent Society has established shelter tents in the Mawasi Rafah area near the Egyptian border, offering assistance to 315 affected families.

A disturbing incident involving an Israeli footballer playing in Turkey has attracted attention. The player, Sagiv Jehezkel, was arrested after displaying a message referring to the Israel-Gaza war during a match. Antalyaspor, his club, subsequently terminated his contract.
