Toronto, Canada – Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, the Canadian spinoff of the popular TV franchise, is set to premiere its first season. The trailer for the show has been released by Canadian broadcaster Citytv, in partnership with NBC’s Universal Television. The series will consist of 10 hour-long episodes and follows an elite squad of detectives as they investigate high-profile crime and corruption in Toronto. The show is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, February 22 at 8/7c.

The cast of Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent includes Aden Young as Detective Sergeant Henry Graff, Kathleen Munroe as Detective Sergeant Frankie Bateman, Karen Robinson as Inspector Vivienne Holness, and K.C. Collins as Deputy Crown Attorney Theo Forrester. Nicola Correia-Damude will portray forensic pathologist Dr. Lucy Da Silva, and Araya Mengesha will play tech expert Mark Yohannes.

Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent is the second English-language international entry in the Dick Wolf universe. It follows in the footsteps of Law & Order: UK, which aired from 2009 to 2014. While Law & Order: UK had seasons that aired in the United States on BBC America, there are currently no plans for Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent to be broadcast in the U.S.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent was originally launched in 2001 and ran for 10 seasons, consisting of 195 episodes. The show starred Vincent D’Onofrio as Detective Robert Goren and Kathryn Erbe as Detective Alexandra Eames. It aired on both NBC and USA Network before concluding in 2011.
