HYDERABAD, India – Mahesh Babu, the popular Indian actor, and his wife Namrata Shirodkar recently hosted a celebration at their residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The event was held to mark the success of Babu’s latest film, “Guntur Kaaram,” which was released during the Sankranthi festival. Despite receiving mixed responses from audiences, the film has been performing well at the box office.
Babu took to Instagram to share a photo from the celebration, captioning it as “Blockbuster celebrations.” The picture featured Babu alongside his co-stars in the film, Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary, who looked elegant in traditional attire. The success party was attended by other members of the film’s team, including producer Naga Vamsi and distributor Dil Raju.
Namrata Shirodkar, Babu’s wife, also posted a picture on her Instagram story, alongside Tollywood actress Sreeleela. Shirodkar complimented Sreeleela, stating that she looked her “selfie best” at the event. Naga Vamsi also shared a story on his Instagram page, expressing his excitement about the super hit vibes of “Guntur Kaaram.”
Notably absent from the celebration were the film’s director, Trivikram Srinivas, and music director Thaman S. The absence of these key figures raised some eyebrows among fans and industry insiders.
“Guntur Kaaram” marks the third collaboration between Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram Srinivas. Their previous films together, “Athadu” and “Khaleja,” have been highly successful. In addition to Babu, the movie also features a star-studded cast, including Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ajay Ghosh, Ajay, Rao Ramesh, Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishna, and Vennela Kishore. The film was shot by cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa and edited by National-Award winning editor Navin Nooli.
Looking ahead, Mahesh Babu’s next project is with director SS Rajamouli. The details of the film, including its title, are yet to be revealed. Reports suggest that it will be a racy adventure/action drama, with rumors circulating about the possible inclusion of Indonesian actress Chelsea Islan in a key role.
