KINGSTON, Jamaica – Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended the premiere of the biopic “Bob Marley: One Love” at the Carib Theatre in Kingston on Tuesday. The appearance marked the couple’s first trip back to Jamaica since 2017. The Duchess of Sussex stunned in a black spaghetti strap dress with a princess skirt, while Harry looked dapper in a navy suit with a white button-down shirt.
The “Bob Marley: One Love” film celebrates the life and music of the legendary musician and his message of love and unity. Meghan and Harry made a surprise appearance at the premiere, walking hand in hand and radiating joy.
According to royal expert Katie Nicholl’s book, “Harry: Life, Loss, and Love,” it was during a wedding in Jamaica that Harry realized Meghan was the woman he wanted to marry. The couple has fond memories of the country, making their red carpet appearance all the more special.
This outing followed Harry’s attendance at the Living Legends of Aviation Awards in Beverly Hills, where he was honored. John Travolta presented him with the award and shared a dance with his late mother, Princess Diana, back in 1985.
Meghan did not accompany Harry to the aviation awards. However, the couple’s public appearances together have been rare in recent months, making their joint appearance in Jamaica even more significant.
Harry’s induction into the Living Legends of Aviation came on the same day he dropped his claim against the Mail on Sunday. The duke was suing the publication over a story that alleged he lied about offering to pay for police protection while visiting the UK as a non-working member of the royal family.
While the legal proceedings have given a platform to false claims, Harry’s focus remains on the safety of his family. A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex emphasized this, highlighting his primary concern above the ongoing legal battles.
The couple’s presence at the “Bob Marley: One Love” premiere showcased their continued support for causes and events that promote unity and love. They enjoyed the evening, holding hands as they walked the red carpet, and their appearance added a touch of royal glamour to the event in Jamaica.
