Miranda Lambert’s Husband Delivers Harsh Truths: Country Star Opens Up about the Importance of Honesty in Marriage

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Country star Miranda Lambert shared a glimpse into her marriage this week, revealing that her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, is her “truth teller” and provides her with honest feedback. While Lambert’s mom offers more enthusiastic support, McLoughlin, a retired police officer, is the one who keeps it real for the singer.

During an interview on the Tamron Hall show, Lambert, 40, explained, “My mom’s more like a hype girl, my husband tells me the truth…He gives me harsh reality, and I love it.”

Lambert and McLoughlin, who secretly tied the knot in 2019, have been married for five years. She emphasized that both her mom and McLoughlin are incredibly proud of her and have been there every step of the way.

The Grammy-winning artist also discussed the strength of her marriage, highlighting the importance of communication and laughter. According to Lambert, being able to discuss their thoughts and feelings openly has made their relationship much smoother.

Lambert playfully teases her husband about his physique, often posting shirtless photos of him on social media. During an interview last year, she joked, “I told him, I operate in my gift. I’m a singer-songwriter … I believe that my job, given my gift, is to take songs to the people, so if you’re given this gift you should take that to the people.”

Aside from their relationship, Lambert also shared the good news that her mom, Beverly June Hughes, has been cancer-free for a year. She expressed gratitude for her mother’s unwavering support and acknowledged that she wouldn’t be where she is without her mom by her side.

Lambert’s openness about her marriage and close bond with her mom has resonated with fans as they continue to follow her successful career. From her chart-topping hits to her Las Vegas residency, Lambert’s authenticity and genuine connection with her loved ones shine through.
