Packers’ Alexander and Watson Questionable for NFC Wild Card Game against Cowboys

Green Bay, WI – The Green Bay Packers have some key players listed as questionable for their upcoming NFC Wild Card playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. Cornerback Jaire Alexander and wide receiver Christian Watson are both dealing with injuries. Alexander has a shoulder and ankle injury, while Watson has a hamstring issue. This raises uncertainty about their availability on Sunday.

Another player, running back AJ Dillon, is listed as doubtful to play after missing practice throughout the week. Considering his thumb and neck injuries, his participation in the game seems unlikely.

Alexander has not been able to practice since injuring his ankle during a jog-through earlier in the week. Head Coach Matt LaFleur indicated that the team will wait until game time to make a decision on his status. LaFleur stated, “We’re just trying to give him up till game time to kind of figure it out. He’ll legitimately be a game-time decision.”

Watson hasn’t played since injuring his hamstring a month ago against Kansas City. Last year, he had an impressive game against Dallas, catching four passes for 107 yards and three touchdowns. Regarding Watson’s chances of playing, LaFleur said, “We’ll see on Christian. A lot of it is going to be how he feels and where we’re at with him.”

The Packers did not provide a game status for 16 other players who are expected to be available. These players include linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, wide receiver Romeo Doubs, linebacker Isaiah McDuffie, guard Elgton Jenkins, running back Aaron Jones, tight end Luke Musgrave, center Josh Myers, safety Jonathan Owens, receiver Jayden Reed, guard Sean Rhyan, safety Darnell Savage, defensive lineman T.J. Slaton, linebacker Preston Smith, tackle Zach Tom, linebacker Quay Walker, and running back Emanuel Wilson.

The Packers’ injury situation will play a crucial role in their NFC Wild Card playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. The availability of key players like Jaire Alexander and Christian Watson remains uncertain. AJ Dillon is unlikely to play due to his thumb and neck injuries. The team will make final decisions on player status closer to game time.
