Portland, Oregon – Comedians Amy Poehler and Tina Fey recently found themselves with some free time in Portland. Instead of just sitting around, though, they decided to make a TikTok video at Pioneer Place mall, accompanied by fellow comedian Maya Rudolph. This spontaneous act by the funny trio has caught the attention of many.
Poehler and Fey have been in Portland as part of their Restless Leg Tour, and Rudolph joined them for a skit during Friday night’s show. The Saturday afternoon show went on as planned, but the late Saturday show had to be canceled due to inclement weather.
For those who missed the performances, there’s a chance they may have spotted the comedians at Pioneer Place in downtown Portland. In the TikTok video, Poehler shares snippets of their #meangirlsweekend, hinting at a possible visit to the mall where they rode the escalators. It’s worth noting that Fey has a special connection to the movie “Mean Girls” as she both starred in and wrote the original film in 2004, and reprised her role in the 2023 movie adaptation of the Broadway musical.
The video itself doesn’t clarify if they watched a movie at the Regal Pioneer Place theater, but given their connection to the film, it wouldn’t be surprising if they did so. However, this detail remains unknown.
Meanwhile, the Moda Center, where the Restless Leg show was scheduled to take place on Saturday night, has assured ticket holders that a new date will be announced as soon as it becomes available. All previously purchased tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show will be valid for the rescheduled date. In the event that attendees are unable to attend the new date, refunds will be offered as well.
