Ranbir Kapoor’s Action-packed Film ‘Animal’ Set to Stream on Netflix India on Republic Day

MUMBAI, INDIA – The highly anticipated film “Animal” is set to make its debut on the streaming platform Netflix India on Republic Day, January 26. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the action-packed movie stars renowned actors Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri. In addition to the Hindi version, the film will also be available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages for viewers on the OTT platform.

Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays the character named Ranvijay Singh in “Animal,” expressed his excitement about the OTT release, stating, “We are absolutely overjoyed by the response ‘Animal’ received in theaters and now I am glad that audiences worldwide will get a chance to watch it in the comfort of their homes. “Animal,” helmed by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is an action drama that delves into the complexities of modern-day relationships. The film primarily focuses on the toxic father-son dynamics portrayed by Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor respectively. Rashmika Mandanna plays Ranbir Kapoor’s girlfriend-turned-wife role, while Triptii Dimri takes on the character of his affair. Bobby Deol, on the other hand, plays a ruthless gangster.

The film faced a legal dispute between the co-producers, CINE 1 Studios Private Limited and T-Series, prior to its OTT release. However, the matter was resolved in the Delhi High Court after CINE 1 Studios filed a plea to halt the film’s release until T-Series complied with the terms of their agreement. The court was satisfied with the settlement agreement and recorded the submissions made by both parties’ legal representatives.

“Animal” had its theatrical release on December 1 and received mixed reviews from audiences and critics who criticized its depiction of violence and misogyny. Despite the controversies, the film emerged as one of the highest-grossing movies of 2023, both domestically and internationally. Moreover, a sequel to the film named “Animal Park” has already been confirmed.

The global streaming release of “Animal” on Netflix India is expected to cater to a wider audience, enabling viewers from around the world to enjoy this action-packed drama film in the comfort of their own homes.
