Return of NBC’s Quantum Leap: Season Two Resumes on January 30 with Anticipated Leap Home

Los Angeles, California – Fans of NBC’s “Quantum Leap” revival don’t have to wait much longer for the show’s return. After a midseason break for the holidays, the remaining episodes of season two are set to air on Tuesday, January 30, according to Deadline. The show, which has been a top performer in the 18-49 age bracket, has drawn in 3.9 million viewers on TV and a total of 4.9 million viewers across TV and streaming platforms, Deadline reports.

For its final episodes, “Quantum Leap” will be moving from its previous Wednesday timeslot to Tuesday nights. The first three episodes will air weekly, while the last two will be paired together for a two-hour finale on February 20. The show’s sophomore season has been a success, prompting speculation about a potential third season renewal, although it’s currently unclear if that will happen.

The last episode before the break left viewers on a cliffhanger, with Tom giving Caitlin important information about helping Ben make a definitive leap home. Nanrisa Lee, who plays security expert Jenn, teased that the team will act on this information, potentially leading to the return of original series lead Sam Beckett to the present day.

“Quantum Leap” has been a consistent performer for NBC, with the network greenlighting season two during the first season’s holiday break and ordering an additional six episodes early on. The show’s production has been uninterrupted, as it was not affected by the recent Hollywood strikes.

The revival of “Quantum Leap” has built a dedicated fan base and has proven to be a ratings success. Fans can look forward to the return of the show on January 30, with episodes also available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
