Palo Alto, California – David Shaw has established himself as a prominent figure in the world of football, with a coaching career that has spanned both the NFL and college football. Before he became the head coach of Stanford University’s football team, Shaw had a successful stint as an assistant coach in the NFL.
Shaw’s journey in the NFL began in 1997 when he joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a quality control coach. After spending two seasons at Western Washington University, Shaw made his mark in Oakland, where he served as a quality control coach for three seasons before becoming the quarterbacks coach in 2001. He then moved on to Baltimore, initially as their quarterbacks and wide receivers coach from 2002 to 2004, and later as the wide receivers coach in 2005.
