CANTON, Ohio – Football fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers have a thrilling opportunity to immerse themselves in the team’s rich history. “A Legacy Forged in Black & Gold,” a temporary exhibit, will be unveiled at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Opening on January 20 and running until February 19, the exhibit will feature the Steelers’ six Lombardi Trophies, six Super Bowl rings, and all 27 Bronze Busts of the team’s enshrinees. This exhibit will mark the first in a new series by the Hall of Fame, dedicated to honoring specific teams.
Hall President Jim Porter expressed gratitude towards the Steelers and the Rooney family for their enthusiastic support and assistance. He emphasized the significance of this exhibit, considering it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the transformative year that forever changed the Steelers franchise. Porter anticipates future special exhibits to celebrate other remarkable players, coaches, contributors, and teams in the game.
In addition to the trophies and busts, visitors can expect to see various Steelers artifacts and memorabilia on display. Graphics and photos highlighting iconic moments in the team’s history will adorn the walls. Monitors will showcase team and player highlight films, immersing fans in the Steelers’ enduring legacy.
