BANGKOK, THAILAND — Season three of Mike White’s hit series “The White Lotus” is adding new faces to its cast. Milos Bikovic, Christian Friedel, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, and Shalini Peiris will join the ensemble for the Thailand-set installment. They will join previously announced cast members Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, and Tayme Thapthimthong.
The upcoming season, which is set to begin filming in February in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, will introduce a new group of guests at a different White Lotus property. Season three promises to be longer, bigger, and crazier, according to creator Mike White.
No details about the characters have been revealed, but it has been reported that the multi-generational group includes a patriarch, a female corporate executive, an actress, a couple of mothers, including a country club wife, a misfit, and a yogi.
HBO has partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand for the filming and promotion of the third installment, further solidifying the show’s connection to the country.
“The White Lotus” has gained critical acclaim, with its first season receiving numerous Emmy nominations and winning ten awards, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. The second season, set in Sicily, has also garnered recognition, receiving 23 Emmy nominations.
