Thrilling Return: Giancarlo Esposito Returns to AMC in New Orleans-Set Series ‘Parish’

New Orleans, Louisiana – Giancarlo Esposito is set to return to AMC, the network that aired his popular shows Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. He will star in Parish, a thriller set in New Orleans. Esposito, known for his love of cars, will play Gracian “Gray” Parish, a family man and owner of a luxury car service in the city.

In a recent interview during AMC’s TCA press tour, Esposito described New Orleans as a “city of demons.” He noted that while it has a high number of churches, it also has bars on every corner and a vibrant nightlife. The show will primarily focus on the choices that Gray Parish makes and how they impact his family.

Parish is scheduled to premiere on March 31 on AMC and its streaming service, AMC+. It has been in the making for eight years, according to Esposito, and if it gets renewed for a second season, it may explore other cities as well. The show is based on the British series The Driver.

The cast of Parish includes Zackary Momoh as an African gangster called The Horse, Paula Malcomson as Rose, and Skeet Ulrich as Colin. The series is produced by AMC Studios in association with A+E Studios and Thruline Entertainment.

The executive producers are Danny Brocklehurst, Eduardo Javier Canto, and Ryan Maldonado. Alongside them, Giancarlo Esposito is also an executive producer. The show revolves around Gray Parish, whose son is brutally murdered and whose business collapses. When he reconnects with an old acquaintance from his past, he finds himself entangled in a dangerous underworld.

Parish promises to be a thrilling series that explores the dark side of New Orleans and the consequences of Gray Parish’s choices. Viewers can expect an intense and gripping storyline as the show delves into the criminal syndicate that Gray becomes embroiled in.

As fans eagerly await Parish’s premiere, it remains to be seen whether the show will live up to the expectations set by Esposito’s previous AMC ventures. With its strong cast, intriguing plot, and the vibrant backdrop of New Orleans, Parish has the potential to become another hit for the network.
