tvN Unveils Exciting Lineup of Dramas for 2024 – Get Ready for Captivating Stories and Unforgettable Characters!

Seoul, South Korea – tvN, a popular South Korean television channel, has revealed its exciting lineup of dramas for the upcoming year of 2024. With a diverse array of shows, tvN aims to captivate audiences with a range of compelling stories and talented actors.

One of the highly anticipated dramas is “Captivating the King,” written by Kim Sun Deok, the writer of “The Crowned Clown.” The series will tell the story of King Yi In, portrayed by Jo Jung Suk, a monarch who feels empty despite his high position, and Kang Hee Soo, played by Shin Se Kyung, whose initial plan of revenge against the king turns into unexpected attraction. “Captivating the King” will debut with back-to-back episodes on January 21 and will air every Sunday at 9:20 p.m. KST.

The historical drama follows her journey as she joins a women’s traditional theater company to pursue her dream of becoming rich. “Jeong Nyeon” will be directed by Jung Ji In and stars Shin Ye Eun, Ra Mi Ran, and Moon So Ri.

“Moms’ Friend’s Son,” a new rom-com drama, focuses on Bae Seok Ryu, portrayed by Jung So Min, as she tries to restart her troubled life. Her mom’s friend’s son, Choi Seung Hyo, played by Jung Hae In, becomes an essential figure in shaping the story. Director Yoo Je Won and writer Shin Ha Eun, known for their work on “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” are behind the drama.

“A Life of a Resident That Will Be Wise Someday” brings together director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung, the creative minds behind the successful “Reply” series and “Hospital Playlist.” The drama offers a realistic portrayal of the lives and friendships of doctors and residents at Yulje Medical Center’s Jongro branch. The cast includes Go Yoon Jung, Kang You Seok, and Shin Si Ah.
