Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to begin its 2024 pay-per-view (PPV) event season tonight at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The main event of UFC 297 will feature the Middleweight title bout between champion Sean Strickland and surging contender Dricus Du Plessis. This will be Strickland’s first title defense, and there is significant bad blood between the two fighters. In the co-main event, Raquel Pennington will face off against Mayra Bueno Silva for the vacant women’s Bantamweight belt.
The UFC 297 card is top-heavy, featuring several exciting matchups. Neil Magny, Chris Curtis, and Arnold Allen are among the fighters who will be competing. The event will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Other undercard results include Ramon Taveras defeating Serhiy Sidey via split decision, Gillian Robertson securing a TKO victory over Polyana Viana, Sam Patterson submitting Yohan Lainesse with a rear-naked choke, Jasmine Jasudavicius beating Priscila Cachoeira with a d’arce choke submission, and Jimmy Flick submitting Malcolm Gordon with an arm-triangle choke.
