US Capitol Attack Fugitives Arrested in Florida: Three Individuals in Custody After FBI Operation

OCALA, Fla. – Three individuals have been arrested in Florida in connection with the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol. The suspects, who had been considered fugitives, were apprehended by the FBI on Saturday. Jonathan Daniel Pollock, Olivia Michele Pollock, and Joseph Daniel Hutchinson III are scheduled to appear in federal court in Ocala on Monday.

These arrests come on the third anniversary of the Capitol attack, as the legal system continues to grapple with the aftermath of the incident. Hundreds of individuals who stormed the Capitol in an effort to keep then-President Donald Trump in the White House are still being dealt with by prosecutors.

According to court documents, there is no attorney listed for Jonathan Pollock. CNN has reached out to the attorneys listed for Olivia Pollock and Hutchinson for comment.

US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Matthew Graves, stated on Thursday that prosecutors have primarily focused on those who entered the Capitol building or engaged in violent or corrupt conduct on Capitol grounds.

Olivia Pollock was due to go to trial last March on federal charges related to the Capitol riot, but she did not appear in court. Her brother, Jonathan Pollock, has been evading authorities since he was first charged in July 2021. The FBI had previously offered a reward for information on his whereabouts.

The FBI’s “Most Wanted” site still displays thousands of photos of individuals accused of participating in the attack, with over 80 people still wanted for acts of violence at the Capitol.

Jonathan Pollock has been accused by prosecutors of numerous violent acts, including punching and kneeing officers, dragging an officer down stairs, and charging at law enforcement with a flag pole. He has not entered a formal plea, while his co-defendants, Hutchinson and Olivia Pollock, have pleaded not guilty.

According to the Department of Justice, more than 1,200 Americans have been criminally charged for their alleged actions during the riot, with over 890 found guilty of federal crimes. The majority of those found guilty have received prison sentences.

In conclusion, three individuals have been arrested in Florida for their involvement in the US Capitol attack on January 6, 2021. They are set to appear in federal court in Ocala, Florida. The legal system continues to handle the hundreds of individuals who participated in the attack, while the FBI continues to search for other suspects.
